Description
keyboard_arrow_downCreate a larger and more comfortable shaded outdoor area with this large shade sail. Designed for Australian outdoor living, its generous coverage makes it ideal for patios, gardens, courtyards, poolside areas and outdoor entertaining spaces.
Made from Oxford polyester, the shade sail helps reduce direct sun exposure while providing practical protection for larger outdoor areas. Its breathable construction promotes airflow underneath the fabric, helping reduce heat build-up on warm and sunny days.
Perfect for larger spaces where additional coverage is needed, this large outdoor shade sail provides a simple way to create a more comfortable area for relaxing, dining or entertaining outdoors.
The slightly curved edges help achieve appropriate tension across the shade sail, while the stainless steel fixing points allow installation between suitable walls, posts or other secure outdoor anchor points.

A sail that only just covers the table looks right at midday and fails by two o'clock. The sun swings across, the shadow slides off one end of the setting, and half the group ends up squinting or dragging their chairs around. On a long deck or a wide courtyard an undersized sail is the most common mistake people make, and it is the one they usually pay to fix a second time.
Sized properly, the shadow has somewhere to travel. A 550 × 1000 cm or 750 × 1000 cm span keeps the whole setting covered while the sun moves through the afternoon, and the curved edges hold that large sheet of Oxford polyester taut so it reads as a deliberate structure rather than a sagging sheet. Underneath, the breathable construction lets the heat coming off the paving keep going up.
A small sail shades a spot. This one shades the space — the table, the chairs once they are pushed back, the walk to the barbecue and the strip where people stand and talk.

A big sail is not a small sail scaled up. More area means more force arriving at every corner, and more distance for the fabric to sag across in between.
300 × 800 cm and 400 × 800 cm suit a walkway, a driveway, or a deck that runs the length of the house rather than sitting in a square.
550 × 600 cm through 750 × 1000 cm cover a full outdoor setting, with the shadow still landing where you want it an hour later.
Across six metres and more a straight-cut edge droops. The curve is what lets you pull the fabric flat and keep it that way.
Four corners is not many for this much fabric. Posts set in concrete, structural timber or solid masonry — at this size a fence line is not an anchor point.
Do not take on a large sail alone. Lay it out on the ground first, work out which corner goes where, fix all four loosely, and only then start tensioning.
Measure the span between your fixing points and allow 30 to 40 cm per corner for hardware. On long runs that allowance is exactly what makes final tensioning possible.
Posts set in concrete, structural timber or solid masonry. A sail this size pulls hard, and gutters, fascia boards and fence palings will not hold it.
Drop one side well below the other so water and leaves run off. On a wide sail, hanging it flat is what creates a pool in the centre after the first decent shower.
Take up each corner a little at a time, going around the sail two or three times rather than finishing one corner outright. The curved edges pull straight when the load is even.
Sizes start at 200 x 200 cm and reach 750 × 1000 cm. On this sail the large end is the whole point: choose for the area you want usable at four in the afternoon, not for the footprint of the table.
The compact end of the range — a small courtyard or a single table, if you want this fabric at a modest size.
A standard patio or deck: the table, the chairs, and the space you walk around them.
A long deck, a driveway, or a run along the northern side of the house.
The largest span offered — a whole entertaining area or an open stretch of yard under one piece.
TipAdd a metre to whatever you first think you need. The sun moves through the afternoon and the shadow moves with it, and that extra span is the difference between the setting staying covered and being half covered by five o'clock.
The sail with its stainless steel corner fittings. Ropes, turnbuckles, shackles, hooks and posts are not included — on a sail this large, size that hardware to the span you are covering.

Larger than the furniture. Measure the area you want usable in the late afternoon, then measure between your anchor points and take off 30 to 40 cm per corner for hardware. Most people who are disappointed went one size too small.
No. The listing describes Oxford polyester with a breathable construction and does not state a waterproof coating, so treat it as sun protection. For rain cover, choose a coated waterproof sail.
Not comfortably. At 550 × 1000 cm and above you want two people — one to hold and position while the other fixes each corner. Lay it out on the ground first to get the orientation right.
Posts set in concrete, structural timber, or solid masonry. Gutters, fascia boards and fences will not take the load. If you are adding posts, set them before the sail arrives so you can hang it the same day.
The curved edges are there to prevent exactly that, but they only work if the sail is properly tensioned and hung with a fall. Take up the corners in rounds rather than finishing one at a time.
No. You receive the sail and its stainless steel corner fittings. Ropes, turnbuckles, shackles and hooks are separate, which lets you buy hardware rated for the span you are actually covering.
