    • 304 stainless steel

Corrosion resistant, which matters near a pool or anywhere with salt in the air.

    • Adjustable tension

Turnbuckles let you fine-tune the tension after the sail is up, and re-tension it later.

    • Everything in one kit

The essential hardware for a fixing point, rather than three separate trips.

    • Built for outdoors

Components designed to stay serviceable through ongoing exposure to the elements.

    The problem

Most failed installations are a hardware problem

The sail is rarely what gives way. It is a fixing into a fence paling, a turnbuckle that has seized, or a shackle that was never rated for the load in the first place.

    The result

Anchors you can tension properly and adjust again next season — the difference between a sail that stays taut and one that flaps itself apart.

    Getting the hardware right

The kit provides the sail-side hardware. Anchors into your wall, post or beam must suit that surface.

    1. Count your fixing points

One set of hardware per corner. A four-corner sail needs four, and it is worth having a spare turnbuckle.

    2. Match the fixing to the surface

Masonry, timber and steel each need a different anchor. The kit covers the sail side; the wall side depends on what you are drilling into.

    3. Leave room to adjust

Fit the turnbuckle close to fully open so you have travel left to take up slack once the fabric settles.

    4. Re-tension after a few weeks

New fabric relaxes. A quick turn on each turnbuckle at the end of the first month keeps the sail taut.

    Questions about fixings

Answers drawn from this product's own specifications.

One set of hardware per fixing point. A rectangular sail needs four, a triangle three. If you are installing more than one sail, count the corners rather than the sails.

No. The kit covers the hardware between the sail and your anchor. What goes into the wall, post or beam depends on the surface, and should be chosen for that surface.

Anything under constant tension outdoors will seize or stain if it corrodes. 304 stainless holds up in weather and near salt air, which is where cheaper plated hardware fails first.

Yes. The same turnbuckles and shackles work with the corner straps and rope edging on the netting range.
