Put a sealed panel over a pergola and it stops the sun, then holds the warm air underneath and takes the full push of every gust. The structure strains, the space feels close and still on a hot afternoon, and anything growing beneath it sits in permanent shade.
An open camouflage net does the opposite. Light comes through broken and dappled, air moves freely, and wind passes through the structure instead of fighting it. The steel-reinforced perimeter holds the whole thing flat and even, and the sand pattern settles into the garden instead of announcing itself.
Not every space wants a solid lid. Over a pergola, a seating nook or a planted area, filtered shade and moving air do more for comfort than a sealed cover — and this is the version built for that.

Six rectangular sizes from 3x4 m to 4x6 m, fixed at four points. A rectangle is what you want along a pergola, over a long table or across a seating area — a shape a triangle cannot cover without waste.
The construction is open, so you get broken, dappled light rather than a hard shadow line. Plants below keep enough light, and the space does not go gloomy. If you want deep, solid shade, this is not the product.
Said plainly: this is not waterproof and offers no rain cover. Rain, and anything else, goes through the mesh. Choose a coated sail if keeping a table dry is the point.
Reinforcement around the perimeter and stainless steel fixing points mean the pull is distributed along the edge instead of tearing at four corners. It holds a flatter, more even shape and takes tension you would not put on an unreinforced net.
The netting arrives with its steel-reinforced edging and stainless steel fixing points. Ropes, cables, turnbuckles, hooks, posts and masonry fixings are not included and are bought separately.
Work from anchor to anchor, not from the net, and allow roughly 30 to 40 cm at each corner for your rope or turnbuckle. Order the size that fits inside the span with that allowance.
Pergola frames, concreted posts, brick walls with proper masonry anchors. The stainless steel fixing points attach to whatever hardware you have chosen — but the strength comes from what is behind it, not from the fitting.
Attach all four corners loosely first and check the net sits square, with the reinforced edge running straight along each side. Correcting a twist now is far easier than after everything is tight.
Pull up opposite corners in turn, a little at a time, until the reinforced perimeter is straight and the mesh is flat. A slight tilt helps leaves and debris slide off rather than collecting.
Sizes are straightforward rectangles in metres. Match the shape of the net to the shape of what you are covering — a long pergola wants a long net, a square seating area wants a square one.

No. The construction is open, so air and water both pass through it. This is a breathable shade net, not a rain cover. If you need to keep a table dry, a coated waterproof sail is the right product instead.
It gives filtered, dappled shade rather than a solid shadow — light comes through the mesh in patches. That is the trade for airflow: it is cooler underneath than a sealed cover on a still day, but it is not a blackout, and we do not publish a shade percentage for it.
It runs around the perimeter and distributes tension along the whole edge instead of loading four corners. In practice the net pulls flatter, holds its shape better once tensioned, and the edge does not distort the way an unreinforced net can.
